Covid-19 and your Wedding Plans

As we all know, we are going through a devastating pandemic which has affected us not only as individuals but as an industry. But what does this pandemic really mean for the wedding industry? Well, some brides at the moment are having to decide between cancelling or postponing their most dreamt of day. We are seeing an increase in postponement and a decrease in bookings due to the uncertainty of the situation. I encourage all of my brides who are forced to make such a difficult decision to think about postponing your big day versus cancelling it entirely. If you go into the contracts you have signed with your vendors you may find that your deposits are non-refundable which would mean that if you cancel completely you will not receive your money back. Another point to think about is that for you this may be one of the most anticipated days of your life; you found your best friend, the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and cancelling your celebration would mean not creating memories that would last you a lifetime. I know it is a trying time for our community but I encourage you to stay positive and know that we will get through this and come out stronger in the end.
